A Day Off with Hubby

Occasionally when our schedules happen to be free on the same day we like to spend it playing "hooky"...well sort of. I don't have class on Mondays, and Kevin rarely has to go into his one class of the day. We take full advantage of the "day off" and do what we enjoy best: spending time with one another. All it takes is a little bit of coffee, some Japanese food, and flirty conversation for a perfect day together.

April (in most parts of the country) has already sprang into spring, but unfortunately not for Vermont. We got snow today and no one is happy or surprised; by our 3rd year we kind of expect it. But come on Mother Nature...in April, a few flowers and some green would be much appreciated.

Best coffee in New England!

The coffee shop is located in an old train station (Waterbury, VT)

The many flavors of Green Mountain Coffee.

Mocha-Coconut Coffee (literally tastes like a Mounds candy bar)

Lunch at Sakura Japanese cafe. Our favorite place in Vermont.
Yummy seaweed salad. I crave it every day- it's very good for you!

My cucumber roll and eel/cucumber roll.

Spicy Chicken Don (one of Kevin's favorites)

"Okinawa Roll" - raw tuna, smelt roe, avocado, and mango. YUCK! You can have all of it Kevin!

I'm a happy girl!

I don't know about this one Kevin...you may have to pay me to try yours.

Kevin's favorite Japanese soda "Ramun" and my favorite Japanese candy "Hi-Chew" (similar to American Starburst)
